Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Are you passionate about safeguarding personal data and ensuring privacy compliance in today’s digital landscape? We are seeking a proactive and action-oriented individual who can hit the ground running and efficiently execute tasks.

We invite you to:

  • Establish and maintain data management and protection policies and rules, ensuring periodic updates.
  • Communicate and consult with employees, customers, partners, and regulatory institutions regarding data protection policies, rules, and rights.
  • Inform employees of their duties and obligations under applicable legislation, providing advice on personal data protection issues.
  • Conduct inspections and promptly inform the company and data subjects of any findings.
  • Promote data protection awareness and provide training to staff to enhance competence.
  • Cooperate with relevant authorities, report data breach incidents, and conduct internal audits of personal data protection.
  • Ensure full compliance with data protection requirements defined by Lithuanian legal acts, EBA guidelines, GDPR, and international best practices.
  • Ensure and maintain regular oversight of data processors.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Records of Personal Data Processing Activities.

We expect you to have:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a data protection-related role, specifically within a payment institution or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrates honesty, handles sensitive information carefully, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Shows commitment, adopts a steady work style, follows a systematic approach, and effectively manages the workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with conducting data protection training and awareness programs for staff.
  • Understanding privacy-by-design principles and practices.
  • Analytical skills to assess data processing activities and identify potential risks.
  • Proactive mindset, to promote and maintain high personal data protection standards.
  • Excellence in communicating, both written and spoken English and Lithuanian.

  • A starting salary of 3500 EUR (gross) per month, with the opportunity to increase based on your experience and competencies.
